Taxonomy

Identification of invertebrate animals from inland water with emphasis on Central Europe and the Neotropical zone.
Macrofauna: oligochaete worms (Annelida: Oligochaeta), macrozoobenthos (Screening-method).
Meiofauna: copepods (Copepoda), ostracodes (Ostracoda).
Water fleas (Branchiopoda Cladocera), rotifers (Rotatoria: Monogononta and Bdelloida).
Algae: phytoplankton and phytobenthos.

General ecology of inland waters, applied limnology, limnology of high mountain lakes and of template and tropical aquatic ecosystems.
Special courses on biology, taxonomy and auto-ecology of aquatic animal groups-
Microcrustaceans: Copepoda (copepods), Cladocera (water fleas), Ostracoda (ostracodes), Rotatoria (rotifers) and Annelida: Oligochaeta (oligochete worms).
